My name is Alanna Olear (she/her) and I’m a storyteller, creative problem-solver, and empath who is invested in the people behind user interfaces. I have over 10 years experience in research and environmental engineering.

These days, I am a Project Manager at Lindahl Reed for renewable water energy projects and a Freelance Writer.

Some of my proudest moments include: living in American Samoa for two years to improve water systems for customers, running a marathon in Hawaii, leading a university-wide research project for my alma mater, and helping other women travel solo by sharing my experiences.
